New Polish Thermoforming Plant Plans Doubling of Capacity
13 February 2002
In December, Amhil
Enterprises opened a thermoforming
plant to manufacture plastic disposable lids in a special economic
zone in Zarnowiec, Poland. And now, after only a few months
of operation, the plant is already expanding, with a doubling
of capacity expected by April.

Zarnowiec is a tax-free area on the Baltic coast and gives the
company efficient distribution throughout Europe and beyond.
Amhil Europa
is located 40km from a major container port at Gdynia and 200km from the German
border.
Amhil is a full-service company from design to production and
offers customers the use of thirteen patents. It even has registered its
Fast-to-Market
turnaround, from design to production capabilities. Headquartered in
Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, Amhil manages the Contract Plastics Processing
Group of
Wentworth
Technologies. The Group has three other processing plants in North America and Europe: Mississauga,
Ontario, Canada, Dickson, Tennessee, U.S.A, and Bydgoszcz, Poland for injection
molding.
Amhil produces over 5.5 billion thermoformed plastic parts per year
in a wide variety of designs, including lids, dome lids, trays, and foodservice
inserts. It manufactures plastic products in many of the most popular resin
materials, including HIPS (high impact polystyrene), APET (amorphous PET),
polypropylene, SBC/Crystal blends and PPO/polystyrene blends.
