Renovation Completed in
Technical Service Department

Electra Form Industries announces its newly renovated Tech­nical Services Center. The center has been remolded to ac­commodate increased injection press capacity, including a 600 ton Husky SX machine. The addition of this machine will bring a greater ability to service our customers on a large press format, and gives the PET industry alternatives when considering refurbishments and conversions of existing molds. The 600 ton press includes a three position take out robot and provides the ability to test PET injection molds before deliv­ery to customer plants for qualification. Complimenting the 600 ton press is a 300 ton Husky LX ma­chine with three position take out robot. The 300 ton format has been a staple in the PET industry and this machine allows for qualifying molds that are new, converted or refurbished on this platform. Additional machines that are available for qualification include a 250 ton Cincinnati Milacron and a 150 ton Husky machine.

Prototyping is available on Electra Form Industries single cavity PET injection system. This machine can accommo­date short production runs for preform development activi­ties. Using this system allows for production style compo­nents on a prototype scale.

In addition to the injection machines, several blow molding machines are available and can be used to develop containers and qualify preforms.
